Sherry Sheehan
FlakeHQ's Poet Laureate

Sherry Sheehan has been contributing poems about flaking since August 2001.  Her poems are poignant, funny, profound — strong evidence that the pain and stigma of living with psoriasis can inspire art that matters.  She accepted a designation as FlakeHQ's Poet Laureate in 2006.  The work presented here is "about psoriasis."  Sherry's oeuvre is much broader than that.  For more poetry by Sherry Sheehan, click here.  Read the FlakeHQ Interview with Sherry Sheehan here.

And here is an award-winning poem by Sherry: Though its subject is not psoriasis, its theme belongs to all of us.  Reproduced here by special permission:  EXPLANATION TO A GRIEF GROUP
