Looking
for Dead Sea Sojourn Tips Hi.
Found your site on the web whilst I was surfing to find out about
treatment at the Dead Sea. I
am 43 years old and have been suffering for 15 years without remission/
With coverage now around 60%, I thought I better do something as ignoring
the problem was not helping. I
think, considering my current condition, that a visit to the Dead Sea
would be a good "Kick Start" in trying to manage my condition
better. After surfing
the Web I have been swamped with information on the Dead Sea and was
wondering if anyone out there could give a recommendation as to where to
go and with whom? I am fortunate enough to be able to take 3-4 weeks off
this December to make a trip so this would be my preferred time. Anyone
got any suggestions to suit a "Moderate" budget? Also has
anybody taken family with them for even part of the trip? Is
it a place suitable for a 15 year old boy and 12 year old girl to holiday
along with Mum? Any information suggestions you could provide would be
most welcome. Regards, -Gary D. ***** Ed’s
Response: As you wrote to me
in November, Gary, I assume today that you were considering your trip for last month (December ’02). Sorry
FlakeHQ was of no help to you. But
in case last December’s trip didn’t pan out for you, here’s a few
double checks. And, if last
December did pan out for you, I
certainly invite you to share your experiences with us. I hope your
Internet search pointed you to the web site for the Dead Sea Psoriasis
& Arthritis Treatment Foundation, run by Ben Freeman.
The web site is: http://www.psoriasis-dead-sea.org/ In addition to
finding many links there to facilities you will want to check out in and
around the Dead Sea, you can also use this location to check on special
trip fares or contact other people wanting to go or who have been.
Also, the
National Psoriasis Foundation has, over the years, published much about
Dead Sea climatotherapy. Right
now you can read a “global” climatotherapy roundup at their site [ http://www.psoriasis.org/wc2001/climate.htm
] that is a session recap from their 2001 annual conference in San
Francisco. Good luck and,
again, I apologize for being “a little late” for your purposes.
