I Have Pityriasis Rubra Pilaris

Ed:  I don't know if I qualify for your site, but I have been diagnosed with Pityriasis Rubra Pilaris Type I (PRP) and have these things all over my body, bumps and redness along with flaking and itching.   

I have been told that this is very rare (1:5000) and there is an end to the outbreak (average 2 years till remission). 

I have been placed on Soriatane (starting today), and am not impressed with the side effects that are possibly in store for me.  My heart goes out to those of you that have this problem all the time.  If I can I would like to send you updates about how the drug treatment is progressing. The perfuctoriness with which they write “the cause is unknown” is unnerving.  At least our psoriasis community is rampant with speculation about what causes P!
